Shadowbane

Shadowbane is a dark fantasy Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG) with a large amount of player interaction with other players and the world.

The game takes place in the world of Aerynth during the Age of Strife -- a dark period in the history of the world. Players can play as one of 10 races and over 20 character classes. One of the most notable aspects of the game is the high level of player-versus-player combat (PvP). "Feature characters", portrayed by actors hired by the developer, Wolfpack Studios, play important people in the world. Politics is also a major part of gameplay. Unlike many other MMORPGs, Shadowbane puts all the players in one large conglomerated set of worlds rather than mirrored shards/servers. Beyond the price of the game software, players must pay a monthly fee to play this exclusively online game.
