The Gamate, known as 超級小子 (pinyin: chāojí xiǎozi, literally "Super Boy") in Taiwan and 超级神童 (pinyin: chāojí shéntóng, literally "Super Child Prodigy") in Mainland China, is a handheld game console manufactured by Bit Corporation in the early 1990s, and released in Australia, some parts of Europe, Asia (Taiwan and Mainland China), Argentina, and the United States. It was designed to compete against other popular handheld consoles of the time, such as the Nintendo Game Boy and the Sega Game Gear.

The Gamate featured a monochrome LCD screen and was powered by four AA batteries. It had a directional pad and two action buttons, and could play a variety of games, including puzzle games, sports games, and arcade-style games.

Despite its relatively low price point and decent game library, the Gamate was not able to compete effectively against the more established Game Boy and Game Gear consoles, and it was eventually discontinued.

The only emulator that supports it is MAME, with games also playable on a MiSTer. Over 70 games, not all dumped, are known to have been produced for the system.
